A New Testament in Greek and Latin edited by Desiderius Erasmus, 1516. Erasmus pored over various versions of the New Testament in Greek, attempting to find the most accurate version, and then created a new translation in Latin. His scholarship opened the door for later theologians like Martin Luther to further scrutinize the bible and its interpretation by the Church.
