Nasutoceratops lived in the American Southwest during the Cretaceous period. By way of an eerily site-specific evolutionary coincidence, it evolved curved, distinctly cattle-like horns, despite the climate and topography back then being much different than the “cattle country” we know today. Nasutoceratops’s curved (“long”)horns were also the largest of any centrosaurine dinosaur, presumably because it was insecure, and oversized pickup trucks were not yet available.
